What our clients are saying about us
I met Ms. Bossy when I was 15 yrs old. At that time I was young trying to figure out the world & Ms. Bossy helped me with that. I never really liked school and it never excited me. I would either be really late or I didn’t show up at all. Once I met Ms. Bossy she changed all of that. She would not let me miss school and was determined for me to succeed. I remember her pulling up to my house, and calling my mom to make sure I made it to school. I used to be so annoyed at the time but I knew she cared. I gave her a lot of attitude and age didn’t cares, she still showed up! Ms. Bossy always cared about my appearance. I remember one day my hair wasn’t done and she pulled me in her office & curled my hair. I had so much hair. I appreciate Ms. Bossy dearly because she believed in me & saw something in me. I graduated high school on time, now working as a PCT at the hospital. I will begin Nursing School in Fall 2022
Mikayla 22 yrs old, Syracuse NYWorking with The Boss Movement has helped me tremendously in many areas of my life. This business has assisted me with the transition from college to the struggles of my first full time job as a child care specialist to now as a Case Planner. The program gave me in-depth one-on-one support by helping me with the challenges of working and professionalism. I have grown in my career development skills. Bossy helped me with my job search, preparing for my interview, my cover letter, resume, and proper workplace etiquette such as proper email response and the proper way to resolve conflict while at work. By practicing these skills and techniques, I have learned how to transfer these skills into my personal life. The program has helped me build my financial literacy skills through learning how to budget. Most importantly, I have learned how to take care of my mental health.
Taleesha 22yrs old, Harlem NYMs. Bossy has had an enormous impact on my life. I first met her in high school while I was in 11th grade and she stayed on us, pushed us by checking our report cards every semester and making sure that we stayed up on our school work. Whatever we needed, she was there. She gave us rides and taught us about safe sex prevention. Ms. Bossy is different because she really cares. She took me in during some rough times for me and my late mother and welcomed me into her home with loving open arms. She sent me to prom. After a while she became like a second mother to me. I appreciate her so much because I could tell that all she has done for me came from a genuine place. She is a wholehearted individual and showed nothing but love to me and treated me as if I were one of her own!
Daemore 23 yrs old Syracuse NYI hired The Boss Movement when I was in between jobs. I needed a program that could help me become more employable. Bossy helped me get a better understanding of what companies are looking for, and I was able to articulate my strongest skills to companies through The Boss Movement’s training and resume rebuild program . I learned to always put your key skills to the forefront , and straight to the point , showing the employers that I am confident in my skill set. The same week that my resume was completed, I landed 2 interviews and also got offers for both!!! The Boss Movement helped me see my own attributes, and be able to articulate that in an interview. The Boss Movement provided me with follow up calls to ensure my success was met.
Toni-Ann 32yrs old, Mount Vernon NYThe Boss Movement came to my rescue while I was in a medical crisis and I’ll never forget that. Due to this, while in Grad School, I fell short and was unable to keep up. Up until this point, I had already accepted that I was going to fail this class and retake it the next semester. I reached out to the Boss Movement to see if she would be able to help me with my final research paper. Problem was I had 2.5 weeks to hand in. Bossy immediately jumped in gear and begin assisting. She assisted me with knowing how to better research and properly form my paper. I ended up getting a B on the paper & passed the class. My confidence was real low and Bossy helped me build my confidence, build positive self talk and walk with my head held high. I will Always Boss Up!

Miss Bossy has been a BIG role model in my life and I want to give her a BIG Thank You for all the things she has done. I first got to know her when I was in high school. I was in the worst school in the district with a 30% graduation rate and she always motivated us and pushed us to be our best. She had a lot of people come to the school to help us with beauty, violence prevention, dance therapy and so much more. I love The Boss Movement because when we graduated she always kept in touch to make sure we were always on the right path. Miss Bossy always checked to see if we needed anything. While in college, I attended 2 of her career development workshops; each learning different boss tips on how to succeed at college and how to recognize mental health. I have now graduated from Bryant & Stratton College with my Associate’s degree in Medical Assistant. I appreciate everything she has done and continue to do. She is a Superhero!
