Who we are
we build Bosses while building self confidence.
The Boss Movement is a program that creates young bosses and encourages all to Boss Up! The Boss Movement provides one-on-one workshops as well as group workshops for career development such as resume and cover letter assistance, job search, interview prep, skill building, professional and goal development. The BM also provides clients with learning the proper etiquette of a workplace such as dressing for success, and learning the who, the what and the why of a professional setting.
To add to that, The Boss Movement will assist college students with research assistance and studying techniques. The BM focuses on character development such as confidence, self-esteem, and body image. The BM focuses on character development such as confidence, self-esteem, body image, and social awareness.
The BM provides Mental Health one-on-one mentoring sessions to assist individuals with everyday coping skills, especially within the workplace and school setting. The BM uses the Motivational Interview counseling approach; all while maintaining a Person- Centered Concept.
The Boss Movement is a walking movement that will come to you. If one is unable to meet in person, virtual workshops are available as well. Boss up!!
Our Founder
RaShonda Flowers
RaShonda Flowers aka B.o.s.s.y. is a mother, professor, entrepreneur, community leader, mental health professional, and a music artist. The name B.o.s.s.y isn.t because she bosses people around or trying to be in
charge of others but on the contrary. The name represents the bold, the opportunities, style, success, and youth. B.o.s.s.y. encourages and supports all genre’s especially women and young ladies to pursue their dreams of being their own boss & to Boss up!!
Caring for 4 kids by the age of 22 made B.o.s.s.y. strong, focused and ready to overcome any obstacle. A true Boss of motivation and much achieved greatness, B.o.s.s.y. obtained her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and is also an adjunct college professor.
Rashonda Flowers is a trained certified mental health specialist, educator, motivator, innovator, a business woman, a teacher, a music artist, a community leader and a youth advocate.
When young bosses take her advice, sessions and workshops, they feel empowered and ready for their
destiny. Recognizing the high poverty rate in Syracuse NY, this movement was so needed and in 2018 took off.
The Boss Movement 101 is now based out of the NYC area but mobile and will Boss up in any area.
There is so much more to come with every aspect of her life. She defines as a Boss, which gives opportunities
to others while she continues to grow as well. The advice she gives to young bosses is to “have a vision board,
have back up plans. Don’t be afraid of rejection and Always Remember; if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail!
